DON MOTHERFREAKIN DRAPPER

I'm a big fan of AMC's Mad Men. And the character of Don Draper is definitely the man. But I always wondered if being like Don Draper in real life could work with women today like it does in the show. I don't think so. I think Don Draper was a man of his time, the early sixties, when a man didn't have to communicate, express himself in any way or be honest with anybody in order to get women, power and respect. I guess that kind of man still exists today and not much has really changed. But I respect Don Draper. Maybe it's just the whole aesthetic that I'm attracted to. Even before I started watching the show suits, ties, hats and flasks started working their way more into my life. In my opinion being dapper is an art form and in that sense Don Draper is a Michelangelo. Don Draper needs only a smart suit, a lit cigarette and a full bar in his office to seal the deal with the ladies. And I don't think that much has changed. Women are still attracted to dapper. And rightfully so. Because there is something to be said about looking sharp that many men these days have lost.
